[D6 EE] Swinging Sticks (Training Area, Expecting)

[Togashi Shinko]

While Shinko certainly loves a party and attention, her true interest can't be denied. The call of the training dojo is strong. It's quiet when she arrives, running a hand over the smooth walls to where the bokken are stored.

[Shiba Haru]

Haru ducked into the quite training area to try and clean himself up, his hair dripping and the top of his kimono was soaked and clinging to him. He did not notice the Dragon at first as he worked to dry himself.

"What a mess, I should go change."

[Togashi Shinko]

Shinko cocks her head to the side, a sly smile crossing her face but otherwise says nothing.

It's about time I did something for me.

[Shiba Haru]

Haru bent over the help gather his hair and tied it back, when he stood back up he turned and saw the Togashi.

"Oh, my apologies Togashi Shinko-san I did not mean to interrupt you."

He bowed and moved out of the training area to the side where the bokken were stored.

"Do not let me slow you down."

[Togashi Shinko]

"You weren't slowing me down at all Haru-san." Shinko grabs a pair of bokken and casually twirls them. "If anything, you've improved the view. Here, catch." She tosses him a bokken, tip pointing to the ceiling.

"I had heard there were other yojimbo to be here." She gives the boy an appraising glance. "Some things are easier to notice with out the kimono. It makes you stand apart"

[Shiba Haru]

He caught the bokken and gave it an unnecessary flourish as he tested it's weight.

"Oh are you a yojimbo as well, it's nice to not be alone in that. I'm sorry we haven't had the chance to talk before, that first night was pure chaos." He bowed in apology. "So that makes you a Togashi by birth but Mirumoto trained I assume?" He stepped away from the wall and faced Shinko.

[Togashi Shinko]

"Something like that" The sly smile wavers for a second. "Mirumoto trained, to be sure. Though I'm pretty sure I can kick your butt with just one sword. Care to find out, as your apology?" She teases.

[Shiba Haru]

Oh thank you finally someone to spar with

"No no no, pick that back up. When I beat you I don't want there to be any doubt Shinko-san, it's been some time since I got to spank someone with a bokken." he smiled and moved further into the center of the area, giving them space to move. "Show me what the Twin Swords of Heaven can do."

[Togashi Shinko]

"Well, it should be even, no?" Shinko pulls the top of her kimono down to hang off her waist, a thin garment underneath. "In dress, and in arms." Her eyes twinkle

"Unless you have an objection"

[Shiba Haru]

Haru's gulped at the sight of the Togashi's undress, his eyes going wide but quickly narrowing as a coy smile crossed his face.

"Not at all Shinko-san, what ever makes you comfortable."

Oh man.

"Are you the gambling sort? I'm not sure what we would wager but some have been bold enough to raise the stakes against me, it didn't go well for them."

[Togashi Shinko]

"What kind of bet did you have in mind Shiba-san?"

Shinko didnt need to be a masterful courtier to know that there were eyes on her. They were familiar companions.

"Don't you worry, I keep my word on bets"

[Shiba Haru]

"Well the last person to make a bet with me had to tell me an embarrassing secret and they welched on the bet when I won; claiming they didn't have any. Do you have any secrets worth learning? Something juicy maybe?"

Haru had to try and even the odds, so he removed his kimono completely and did a few stretches just for added effect. then set his kimono down on a bench to dry.

This has never worked before but it has to once in my life.

"Or maybe you have a better idea. We don't have to bet of course, just thought I should ask,"

[Togashi Shinko]

"Oh, I have secrets. That's what you want, a secret?" Shinko's playful demeanor seems to slip for a moment, her grip on the shinai tightening. "Then I want a date. Specifically, I want a double date, with us as chaperones for your brother and his date. I mean, I'd be the lucky one with the better of the pair..."

Shinko raises the tip of her shinai. "What do you say?"

[Shiba Haru]

Haru's shock at the ask was doubled when she mentioned a double date with his brother. "Who will be there with Jiro?"

[Togashi Shinko]

"Does it matter if you're so confident that you're going to win?" Shinko counters, settling into a stance

[Shiba Haru]

Haru let out a deep sigh of resignation.

Jiro, why couldn't you just fall instantly in love with Natsuko like a good little boy?

"Alright, but that being the case I don't just want to know a secret, I want a solo date with you. Double dates...you can't really speak as freely as when it's just two people and some mood lighting. Plus if you put Jiro and I in the situation we are going to start trying to one up each other and it will just get weird. Brotherly rivalry and all that."

Haru took his stance.

[Togashi Shinko]

"That sounds like a win win for me. Speaking of winning, we start in threetwone" Shinko grins and immediately begins her assault, holding the blade in a single hand. She is aggressive and an incredibly quick. Her movements are half improvised but fluid like a dance. Furthermore, she has absolutely zero qualms with using her off hand to parry and trap Haru's shinai. It's a version on the Mirumoto Niten technique, only with little or no regard to convention.

Haru wasn't surprised by the sudden start but was surprised by the speed of the Togashi, he tired to match her pace but was on the back foot from the start.

"You really do move fast don't you?"

Haru struggles but manages to catch up to the speed of Shinko and went on the offensive.

Then Haru switched his stance, going back to what he was most comfortable with, fighting more defensively while weaving is strikes between parries.

Shinko makes progress at first, but Haru's stance steadies and manages to find s gap in her defenses.

"Damn it! Well struck." Shinko grins. "Well, I guess I'll be able to find out if that rumor is true"

[Shiba Haru]

Haru released a sigh, more of relief than being tired.

"That was fun, you are very good Shinko-san." He took a breath. "What rumor would that be?"
