[D3 LA] A Game of Cat and Bird

[Kitsu Masaru]

A touch of amusement graced his smile for a moment but it did not seem malicious just a simple amusement along with a bit of happiness "You flatter me Asahina-san." he said simply. He had a few questions but and thought about bringing voice to them but decided they would be better spoken when they were in a more private setting.

When she said her mother was a former Topaz champion his eyebrows rose a bit "Goodness, that is quite the legacy to live up to but also a great honor for your family. I am certain you will also bring great honor and glory as well in this or in your own way." he smiled again before sipping his tea.

"So what do you like to do outside of your training?" he asked with a small raise of his eyebrow as he set his now empty cup down.

[Asahina Sakura]

His smile was returned in kind.
"One can only aspire to bring honour to their family, yes? It's the highest example of respect we can pay them." she set down her cup as well.
"Um, well, art and religion sit equally with places in my heart, of course, as is right. But um, I've found uh, a bit of interest in healing? It's fascinating, really. Making an effort to heal others' bodies as well as their spirit." she gave a shy smile at that and a simple shrug.
"And Kitsu-san?"

[Kitsu Masaru]

Masaru nodded "healing is of course a very noble art. Do you study how to do it with the aid of spirits or rather the more physical medicine and doctoring or perhaps both is what you meant."

Masaru thought for a moment "Well I have a great interest in the arts. I enjoy beauty, in many forms" was there a significant pause there? A look maybe? Possibly but utterly subtle if it existed "music is a passion of mine, composing, performing, listening, pretty much all aspects of it. I have an interest and appreciation for physical arts as well, painting and sculpting are fascinating to me but only so many hours in the day to study things." He finished with a small laugh.

[Asahina Sakura]

"Um!" Sakura chirped shyly, "Yes?" That... didn't answer his question, did it? "I um. Sort of both? Nothing I do is without the input and guidance of spirits, really. It sort of, can't be helped? They're just... there. But the interest, I don't know, I sort of picked that up on my own?"

She nodded along at his answer, smile smile returned.
"I um. We're much the same, in that regard, I think? Not enough time in the day to do everything, I uh, want to do.
I've never really been musical though? It's super fascinating to watch though! The technical aspects are ...fascinating ...I mean, interesting?"

[Kitsu Masaru]

Masaru nodded "certainly, it makes sense that spirits guide your hand in many aspects I am sure they are quite useful to help deal with things." He thought for a moment "though do they ever get in the way or become bothersome for you?"

[Asahina Sakura]

The Asahina gave a surprised chuckle, "More than I care to admit, Kitsu-san... It can be, um, distracting? Especially in areas of high activity, or if, um, especially loud? And insistent? And um... They can be impossible to ignore, at times. But I don't know any different and so...!" she shrugs lightly.

[Kitsu Masaru]

He nods with a small chuckle in return "Yes my little sister has spoken to me about how the spirits can be distracting but she also has one of our ancestors whom she is particularly attuned with that can be rather....intrusive." He said with another chuckle.

"But he is also insightful and it is considered quite favorable to have the honored ancestors guide you."

Masaru looked outside a little again and nodded looking back to Sakura "but perhaps a topic we can delve into on another day. The hour is growing late and I have some tasks to complete before I journey to Yume-do."

[Asahina Sakura]

"Oh yes no don't let me keep you, Kitsu-san! Until next time we meet? Uh. Thank you... your company has been agreeable," she smiled shyly and moved to rise.

[Kitsu Masaru]

He rose easily and bowed to her "It has been a wonderful time Asahina-san, I eagerly await our next date." He said calmly and with a slight twinkle in his eye as he righted himself "I will send word tomorrow with an invitation."

He looked at her a moment "are you headed anywhere from here where I may escort you? Or do you plan to use the shelter of the Inn for sometime yet?" He asked with a slightly raised eyebrow.
