[Shiba Jiro]

"I haven't met Hirame-san yet, but I got on well with Kuni-san. Sounds like a good time," he agrees with a nod.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Hirame-san's intended's also here. Some Crane? Forget which one. But he might be, ah... relatable."

[Shiba Jiro]

"Perhaps. Sounds like a good time. And chance to compare notes on how one deals with betrothals with someone you are competing against?"

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"They got a bet going."

She smiled.

"Something about who joins which clan. I hear that's not a set thing yet."

[Shiba Jiro]

"Interesting thing to bet on. Hopefully the nakodo will take their bet into account, in the likely playful spirit it's meant," he says. One of his sandals finds itself resting side by side with one of hers as he returns the smile.

"I'm sure it will bring them closer together."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Well, can't hurt. Plus it lets me needle 'im about how he's gonna look in blue."

[Shiba Jiro]

"He's the one in the jacket. Not quite sure what the material is. I suspect that it wouldn't fit too well with the Crane aesthetic though," Jiro replied with a smirk. "But then, if his betrothed joins the Mantis perhaps he can get a matching one for them?"

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Sharkskin. Very dashing."

She chuckled.

"Also damned tough an' hard t'get a knife through."

[Shiba Jiro]

"I see. Dashing eh? You think I should see about getting one?" he asked, winking at her.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"You plannin' on gettin' stabbed?"

[Shiba Jiro]

"Better safe than sorry, no? And better dashing than not." He winks at her.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"It'd probably suit ya."

Most things would.

"Not sure if it'd be in fashion for the Phoenix, though."

[Shiba Jiro]

"I doubt it. Not that I'm the most fashionable Phoenix around. Not many wear work gloves as an accoutrement on their obi. Not likely to gain much traction either," he replies. "But I think I'd be more interested in seeing what other kinds of fashion comes from the place your hairpiece came from."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Oh, th'Ivory Kingdoms? Think some'a there's stuff's in the market here, actually. We could go give it a gander some day if y'like?"

[Shiba Jiro]

"Sounds like a fun time. Though honestly, could sit me on a stump with a rock next to you and I'd be grinning," he replied. "I visited a shop and they had a bunch of stuff in there. Including some instruments with strings that caught my eye."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Oh, they do all kindsa stuff different down there. Music's just one thing."

[Shiba Jiro]

"Well, when we visit the shop you'll be able to explain all the fun things to do down there. May not get the chance myself, but I wouldn't mind some inspiration for my imagination."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"If there's on thing stuff from th'Kingdoms is good for, it's sparkin' the imagination."

[Shiba Jiro]

"Might end up including some of their artistic sensibilities in some pieces honestly. Giving a unique appearance to some pieces."

She cocked hr head to the side.

"That'd be somethin' t'see. They got different colors an'dyes an' th'like. Wonder how a Rokugani paintin' with Kingdoms color schemes'd go over..."
