Natsuko reaches to give the folded star a push, spinning it slightly with the hint of a smile, examining the topography of the paper. Her attention shifts readily enough to discussion of the local shrine, and then their numbers here, nodding to the silent Shiba when he arrives.

Haru looked at the Isawa and then at the other shugenja in the room. "imbalances? Forgive me Isawa-san but my brother and I lack the gifts you have, what do you mean by imbalances?"

Kiriko smiled as they arrived. "Shiba-san, I'm glad to see you."

Ichiro offers a nod and smile to Kiriko.

Kiriko watches Ichiro's gestures. "It seems like Water is much stronger than is typical for the area, and it impacting Earth in particular?"

The small attention Nakoru gave the star origami was both noticed and appreciated by Jiro.

It's at least something that I can do that she seems like she may enjoy. That's good.

He smiles gently in her direction before responding. "That is an issue. Before any repairs to the shrine, we should try to properly rebalance the elements in the area. But since I don't really know much about that, and know plenty about making tea, I will make myself useful while you discuss."

He rises and goes about the task of acquiring what he needs to make plenty for the large group of Phoenix. Which also includes organizing so that it is easier in the future for any of their number to do so.

Kuroneko nodded. "I plan to go and pray to the fortunes that are not represented in the temple of Amaterasu in the evening so I will see what state they are in." He nodded to the new comer and tried to figure out the movements at least the adopted Crane had an idea of what Ichiro meant. "An elemental imbalance is quite probable as I don't know much about history but some coasts are prone to the anger of Isora and Suitengu." He looked at Jiro taking the task of tea maker and nodded. "We should find why this imbalance is striking now."

Ichiro listens for a moment before taking a piece of scrap parchment and charcoal from their satchel. In quick clear strokes a message appears to be shown to the rest.

"That was one manifestation." Natsuko's brow furrows slightly, time could be difficult. "Not that long ago...I think. But...our instructors have kept us careful, as elemental powers shift and respond in ways that are unusual." She says nothing of the Void. One is always careful with that immensity.

"It means it is a bad time to neglect your shrines," she says quietly. "It would be wise to remedy that." She looks at Kuroneko. "I will visit too. See if anything is apparent. Maybe this is why there are so many of us here just now."

Having acquired the needed supplies, and set a small brazier going, the water was well on its way to heating. "I have experience building shrines. None with dealing with spiritual issues though. Let me know if you need my tools and hands. Also, is the tsunami a thing that happened or will happen?"

He then begins preparing a proper bit of tea for steeping, puting it In the heated water and begins distributing empty cups while the water transforms.

"I just hope there is no monsoon or flood this time." He nodded at Natsuko. "I will also go every morning seeking Megumi's blessing even if it in a poor condition." He petted little Tori. "I am not much for working with the hands but perhaps we can try working out a ritual for cleansing the area."

"There is other ways you both can help... maybe check the records in the library?" Kuroneko suggested. "If we can gather information and get the Crane to let us aid we might help tilt the balance back."

"Well, if there is any sort of tension or difficulty in convincing them we wish to help, I'd be glad to speak with them," Jiro replies with a nod.

Having let enough steeping time pass, he goes about filling each person's cup one by one before setting the pot down.

Haru then filled his brother's cup and placed the pot down precisely where Jiro had left it.
