"That would probably be best," he says with a nod. "Tables in the teahouse are for tea after all."

"That they are. An' we got others t'think of."

"Well, not really thinking of others when I got you with me, honestly."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Good thing I do then, innit?"

Another wink.

[Shiba Jiro]

"Someone has to," he says with a return smile.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"That's me, th' respons'ble one!"

[Shiba Jiro]

"I always knew you were between the two of us," he replied with a serious nod. "Because I certainly can't take responsibility for how amazing you are. Pretty sure you do that all by yourself."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"An' I'm not th' one who scrambled yer brain."

Except, of course, she was.

[Shiba Jiro]

"I'm glad for it to be scrambled Kasumi. You are by far the best part of being here, in so many ways," he says with a bright smile. "The stars in a night sky, wild flowers in bloom in nature, the sound of birdsong in the morning. All beautiful, but nothing when compared to you..."

He leans forward slightly.

"Your voice, your scent, your eyes, the feeling of your hand in mine... he whispered. "... your presence is intoxicating to me."

"Most 'tociants're poison. Maybe y'should be careful?"

[Shiba Jiro]

He nods at that. "I should... doesn't mean I will though. Some consequences are worth the choices that cause them."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Just so we both know what we're gettin' into."

[Shiba Jiro]

"No regrets," he says with a smirk.

"See, that sounds like a challenge t'me..."

"If you want to take it as a challenge."

"Well, it's either that or an invitation, I reckon..."

[Shiba Jiro]

"Either is good with me. A little competitive spirit probably doesn't hurt too much."

"So, care t'make a little wager'a some sort?"

[Shiba Jiro]

"Is it over who is the better kisser? Because I hope it is and the prize is more kissing," he says, giving a wink.

"But yes, let's give it a go."
