She grinned.

"A capable sailor with confidence, drive, and more grace than she gives herself credit for," he states sincerely.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Dunno 'bout grace, but I'll give ya th'rest of it..."

[Shiba Jiro]

"I promise you have more than you suspect. Just by trying you already display more than some folks," he says.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Yeah, but enough about th'horses at th'test today!"

[Shiba Jiro]

"The horses do have a particular beauty to them and it was fun to ride. But...," he says with a smirk.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Just sayin'!"

[Shiba Jiro]

"But seriously. You should apply that confidence. Half of what we do in court is present a confident and calm On. I know you can do that."

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"An' it'll work until I gotta open my mouth."

[Shiba Jiro]

"I like hearing you. Especially when you whisper to me," he says with a playful smirk.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

"Somehow I don't think it'd play as well in court."

[Shiba Jiro]

"Then we will need to spend less time at court," he replies.

"You are filled with doubt
of the magic inside you,
but it's all I see."

He whispered the little haiku to her then favored her with a small smile.

She blushed, but stayed silent.

He continues to walk back, looking to her occasionally with a pleased expression.

[Yukikaze no Kasumi]

And Kasumi kept in stride for as long as she was able.

It wasn't hard. He didn't want to let her out of his sight. But eventually they had to part ways.
