Hey look ma, I made it - Kuni Mitsuko Q&A

Well, lots of real world stress made this game tough, but I am glad to have gotten through with some help from my friends. Thanks folks who helped, as I am fairly proud of the story that Mitsuko got from this game. Big shout out to Nicha for the fabulous Rin threads that, honestly, I really needed.
With that out of the way, please let loose with questions. I don't think I have anything I need to keep secret relative to potential reprisal, so ask away!

Takes two to tango
I don't think Rin could ever have imagined the scary Kuni she met at the market would turn out to be so nice!
Lots of excellent threads with Mitsuko across the board!
How does she view her experience at the tournament?
Does she feel ready to go out there and command?
Have her opinions on any clans or families changed?

Well she's certainly got a higher opinion of the Sparrow Clan!
I think she'd say the Phoenix seem very complicated and the Mantis and Dragon are fun but confusing in their own ways. Definitely didn't do enough in enough threads to really gather more impressions. Oh, Yuji seemed very polite.
Overall, the positivity/encouragement that she got from so many people when she was essentially questioning what she was doing in Tsuma made for a great way to advance her story. Mitsuko got to advance from "awkward nerd" fairly early, but I like to think she's still showing that's who she is at heart. Oddly, her successful relationship with Rin makes her feel slightly less suited to command, or at least less excited about it. She'd rather spend more time with the sweet Sparrow. It kind of makes her a more three dimensional human; now having some compassion for the folks she'd send into harm's way will weigh on her where previously she wasn't so concerned.
I think that mostly covers it. Mitsuko has a good story and hopefully a very bright future with the almost-Topaz Champion.

I think things started off much better with Mitsuko than they ended between us
But it was fun!

What, things get complicated for teenagers who think they know better than other people?
Next game we'll try for a little more closure. I just ran out of steam in this one. But I definitely enjoyed what we could do!

Sorry, we never got any more scenes together. I think we should have been friends.
But we were both less active than we should have been. Perhaps we can fit in a last Crab-centric scene before this is all over?

"the Phoenix seem very complicated" XD
Thank you for the thread. (I'll get another post on that at some point tonight, but brain is slow to IC things). Glad you've been able to play.
Rin and Mitsuko were the adorable surprise ship for sure.
So Mitsuko went off to do not-Kuni schooling. How much Kuni does she have going on? How important is that to her? If Rin had become TC, that might have given her enough status to consider pulling Mitsuko into the Sparrow. Would she have been up for that?

I am sad we never got to do any Crab stuff, but I totally didn't have the energy this game. We'll connect in a future game.

Definitely thanks for the thread. Natsuko and Mitsuko are a fascinating pair.
Mitsuko came into the tournament with a lot of guilt about being a bad Kuni, but several people early on were hitting her with "Well, but you're
here, and even your Tiger-mom didn't do that," which really resonated. She got to a "being special isn't bad" frame of mind and kinda started enjoying things and looking forward to the future.
Haven't figured out the future with Rin's player yet, but Mitsuko dearly loves that sweet Sparrow. And getting away from like the Kuni-est of Kuni families would probably be fine with her. On the other hand, being a Hida Battle Leader is kind of important, and Mitsuko has never thought about being anything else. So we'll have to see what plays out.

I was an early adopter of that mindset. But can you really trust Jiro's judgement?

I think one could argue he's good at reading women - maybe too good for his own good.
