The competitors are gathered early. Today's competition includs a small excursion down river, courtesy of the Mantis and the Winter's Wind. EM-EA are spent aboard the Winter's Wind, which will have traveled down the river out to shore, and then back to Tsuma.

Walking the promenade of the Laughing Carp, a few observers of the Tournament can be overheard. "You know, I think a few of those competitors did better than expected."

"Yeah, you know why, don't you?"

"I thought I saw some of them at the Shrine of the Fortunes, making offerings and donations!"
