When answering your 20 questions, and please make sure to include what mechanical decisions were, as well as the fluff. Here is an example of what I want:

Q9. Greatest Accomplishment - During his gempuku, Hayato was known for his sleight of hand, and it seemed he was able to be in two places at once, but that was due to cunning use of servants and disguises (Fast Reflexes [Fire] Distinction).

Q10. What holds them back - During a duel while training as a Yoriki, Hayato was painfully scarred across his face. The damage makes smiling painful. Maimed Visage [Air] chosen.

Q11. What brings them peace? - Displays of physical prowess and skill. He heads directly into danger when needed, without hesitation. Daredevil [Fire] chosen.

Q12. What concerns them - Hayato believes that people can be inherently good and learn from their errors. He shows mercy when he can, often to his detriment. Softheartedness [Fire] chosen.

Q13. Who have they learned the most from? - Their sensei in the Deathdealer school, Bayushi Ryuu. A taciturn and merciless instructor, it was an antagonistic, almost villainous mentorship. Hayato learned to be better than his mentor, at the cost of always having to prove it. (+1 rank Games, Disadvantage: Jealousy - Bayushi Ryuu)

Q14. What do they first notice? Jagged scars across their face, notably down the left eye and across his cheeks. He also dresses impeccably, as well as a worn scarf that reminds him of his betrothed.

Q15. How do they react to stress? Extreme stoicism and silence. His eyes narrow while considering the situation.

Q16. Preexisting relationships - Hayato was chosen for the Emerald Magistrates after his gempukku. He has encountered bandits, ronin, and the seedier side of Rokugan. He learned how to apply and identify the tattoos of various criminal organizations (Tattoo Needles chosen)

Q17. Parents description - Dutiful and loyal. He was also a rambunctious child, who often climbed and scaled things he should not have, but the skills learned would be useful for the Scorpion. (+1 Fitness)

Q18. Named in honor of Bayushi Hayatono, a cunning lord of the Bayushi family who served as an Emerald Magistrate, and had competed in an Emerald Championship, but did not win. But due to the skill and knowledge displayed, they were wed to a member of the Imperial families, Otomo Nagako. Q19. Chosen name - at his gempukku, the name was shortened to Hayato, a more humble form, showing the desire to grow into his own. His wife calls him Haya.

Q20. How will he die? - At a distance of three feet from an enemy of the Empire and the Scorpion, as he defends the secrets and plans to his last.

In addition to the normal character creation, you must take the following Disadvantage (Adversity).

Obligation to [Great Clan or Imperial Family] (Water):

• You owe your invitation to one of the Great Clans of Rokugan or one of the Imperial Families. For as long as this obligation is owed, you are at the beck and call of who you owe the Obligation to. You may have to perform tasks that they would not want to assign any of their own samurai to.

• When you make a check related to dealing with someone to whom you owe this Obligation, in order to avoid doing a task related to it (such as Courtesy [Water] to find a way to politely decline the take, you must choose and reroll two dice containing a success or explosive success. After resolving the check, if you failed, you gain 1 Void Point.
