Another one for the "I don't like 5E that much" pile- Kasumi takes minimal mechanical strife on a daily basis- she can sludge up 10 Strife, and seldom breaks 5.

And yet, in terms of the character feeling stress and pressure and various strains, she should be damn-near compromised on the daily

Agreed, one of the weird quirks of the system. It drives my wife crazy about the strife system. Can't say I am thrilled with it either.

I mean, you also can take Strife for things that aren't dice rolls at player/GM discretion. Ender just isn't stalking our threads and tossing it out at us, because there are 25 of us and he has a family.
