Democracy voted that he wouldn't kill Akuma no Oni.

The story team decided he would still get to basically stand against it on its own for a time before eventually standing down for the true winner of the poll.

The Phoenix have really had some of my favorite scenes.

"Flowers" was baller as hell as was Shokansuru and Sentai no Oni defending the white tree.

What? What do you mean that doesn't count as a Phoenix story?

Yes, Mitsuko is making friends along the way. I'd still feel a lot better if she could have her tetsubo on hand. Then again, that's wargear, so... Ugh. Stupid courtesy and stuff.
