Yuji blushed a bit as he read the letters.

"Ah. Well. Poetry is always open to interpretation of course. My interpretation would be the first letter is celebration of a first meeting of a member of the Unicorn clan. Spring is a time for new things for life. They were out in the woods and when they saw this person....it was as if their presence caused the flowers to bloom. It filled them with a desire to head to the lands of the Unicorn with them."

He cleared his throat.

"The second poem is.. a sadder one, filled with longing. They feel a deep longing to return to that moment when they met in the forest, but the 'guide' despite being one who leads them is nowhere to be found. They're filled with sadness because they wish to be with them, but they are unseen."

He handed the poems back.

"That would be...my interpretation at least."

Yuji was...somewhat shocked at being handed such intimate poetry. He felt sorry for the poet as well, as the object of their romance would not understand such a heartfelt plea.

"I really don't understand poetry..." she sighed. "Animals are so much easier ."

"Well, yes, Shinjo-san, and I'm sure you've found a lot of love with them. But there are some things they simply can't provide for you." he said, glancing away looking for words.

"But....that's not fair of me. I can only speak from my own experience. Yutaka is a wonderful companion, but I want someone to share the nights with, to look up at the sky and sit in comfortable silence, content to be with each other." he admitted.
