Kaori blushed and looked away. "Arigaou for your confidence Kakita-sama, I hope I can bring satisfaction to your expectations." She did seem to puff herself up slightly.

"I will certainly do my best, and honor Miya-sama's trust, even in such environments." She let out a small smile. "I assume Kakita-sama's sensei is expecting a strong showing from Kakita-sama this coming tournament?"
Yuji nods.

"Of course After all, we are demonstrating our mastery of their teachings. Our successes as well as our failures reflect upon their ability just as much as it does upon our own." he says.

He looks to the shrine.

"However, when you are competing against the very best, even if you are also the very best, not everyone will be a victor. There is, after all, only one set of Topaz armor waiting at the end of the tournament. But as long as one puts forth their best effort, and learns from the experience, then we have honored our senseis."

He looks over to the Kaeru.

"I am curious to know more about your sensei, Kaeru-san. Who has instructed you and what are they like?" he asks.

"My sensei have been the years of experience that my parents and grandparents spent in their lives." She smiled fondly at the thought. "My mother is a sensei of our otokodate, while my father is an experienced wanderer, taught by his own parents, my own grandparents, whose skills were gained from...honorable sources."

"Miya Tetsu-sama also taught me a small measure of governance and culture, though I am far too unrefined to have ained much. Still, as you say, we must do our best and strive for the best. I assume you learned at the Academy?"

(Sorry, thought I responded to this one!)

"I have. My family has been tied to the Academy for many generations. My ancestors attended as will my younger brothers." he offered.

He offered a final bow to the shrine.

"But regardless, I hope your time here in Tsuma inspires you to be the best version of yourself, Kaeru-san. But I have other matters I should be attending to." he said moving to wrap up the scene.
