[D4, LA] Curious Curios (Open)

Her mouth curved in an action that could be mistaken as a smile.

"You do your family well to think of them, but you mention another by name. A good friend of yours?"

She picked up a bizarre metal item, some manner of box, though small and quite decorative.

"Oh!" A mildly embarrassed smile is returned as she quickly tucks a lock of white hair behind one ear, then dips her head to look at Michi's sandals, "Asahina Tenshin, the Emerald Magistrate... is my oldest brother, Akodo-san."

"Ah, the sharply dressed man with the steadfast yojimbo at the greeting ceremony, I recall", the Lion recalled. "Do you both live here? Perhaps he would enjoy something more personal from you." She bowed slightly to Sakura. "That is, your family does have a reputation as artisans as well as spiritual guides, do they not?"

Sakura let out a small chuckle, "I've given Tenshin so much of my art over the years, and he's always likened it to the smearings of a toddler..." It's unclear if she's joking or if she's bothered or if the matter rolls off her back.
But still she nodded, "Oh yes, Daidoji Yuusuke, he is formidable! Oh um, yes? We're local to Tsuma?"

She opened the box, it had hinges and as it opened revealed some child, odd looking to a rokugani from their eyes, as if they sprang up out of the box. She shut it and placed it down.

"Yes, well, I asked due to him being local he would have experience with the contents of this chop, but it matters little. A gift of your art he teases you over, a gift he has seen a dozen times, it makes little difference", she said, hand resting on the small box with the boy now hiding inside of it. "Brothers adore what you will do for them, because they are your brother. Do the best you can for him, Asahina-san."

Ephemeral whispers in Sakura's ear questioned if the Lioness was belittling the idea of a simple run-of-the-mill bracelet for one of such stature as Tenshin... and so with a crestfallen expression, the little Crane decided against the idea, settling on the two she'd picked out for her other siblings instead.
"Who, um, who did you have in mind? for that?" she motioned with her empty hand to the ornate box.

"In the end I don't believe it a proper gift", she said, taking her hand off it. "It may be a poor excuse given our location, but it is too exotic."

She sighed. "Perhaps I am being too discerning."
